• Name of posts: Airmen in Group ‘Y’ trades in Sports Quota

Eligibility

• Educational qualification: Passed 10+2 or Equivalent examination in stream / subjects approved by Central / State Boards of education. Board recognized / affiliated by Counsel boards for school education (COBSE) wili only be permitted.
• Sports Discipline: Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cross Country, Cricket, Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Swimming, Volleyball, Water Polo, Wrestling, Wrestling and Golf.
• Age limit: Candidates should be born between 28 Dec 1996 and 27 Dec 2000 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrollment is 21 years.
• Sports Achievements:

• Individual should have represented the country in Junior/Senior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
• Individual should have attained the standard of fifth place in the Junior/Senior National Championship or Inter University Championship in above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
• In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior/Senior National Championship and National School Tournament conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.

Medical Standards:

• Height: Minimum acceptable height: 152.5 cm.
• Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm.
• Weight: Proportionate.to height and age.
• Vision: Minimum visual standard: Unaided 6/36, corrected to at least 6/9 for each eye with spectacles, Dioptectric power not exceeding + 3.5 Dioptres in any axis. Full field of vision and Defective safe colour vision CP-II/III. (Candidates should bring latest prescription and spectacles for corrected vision, if used), Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable,
• Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing i.e., able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately,
• Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points,
• Health: Candidates should be free from Medical or Surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidates must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain. The candidates are advised to get wax removed from their ears and tartar and stains removed from their teeth before appearing for selection trials.

Selection Process

• Final selection will be based on Physical Fitter Test (PFT)

• Interested and eligible candidates can send their application in prescribed format along with 03 unattested passport size colour photographs, attested copies of educational certificates/ marks sheet, relevant sports certificates and 01 unstamped self-addressed white envelope (24 Cm x 10 Cm) by Ordinary Post addressed to “Secretary, Air Force Sports Control Board C/o Air Force Station New Delhi, Race Course, New Delhi-110003” so as to reach on or before last date.
